Changelog
What’s new on FreeScreeners, newest first. Ideas for a new screener? Tell us.
· My lists: scan your own stocks and coins
- Every screener with a market choice now has a List picker next to its controls. Pick “Manage lists…” to create, rename, edit or delete your own lists of stocks or coins, then scan just those instead of the built-in list.
- Paste tickers separated by commas, spaces or new lines. Symbols the data source doesn’t know are flagged (Alpaca for stocks, Binance for coins), and the list still saves.
- Lists stay in your browser, with no account. “Copy link” shares a list: whoever opens the link is asked before it’s added, and nothing they already have is replaced.
· Instant switching while a screener loads
- Clicking any button or tab while a screener is loading now stops that load and switches straight away: markets, setups, presets, timeframes, column sorts, “Show more” and Refresh.
- Results from the load you left no longer show up after you switch.
- Fixed a loading spinner that could get stuck when you picked US stocks without a key.
- On the crypto screener, changing the quote currency or timeframe now clears the old rows right away.
· Nine new screeners: ATR, NR7, VWAP, pivots, Fibonacci, Darvas, channels, open interest and liquidations
- New in Movers: the ATR screener (big range days, moves of 2+ ATRs and expanding volatility) and the NR7 screener (NR4, NR7 and NR21 days and narrow-range breakouts).
- New in Technicals: the VWAP screener (price against the session and weekly VWAP on intraday candles) and the pivot point screener (classic, Fibonacci and Camarilla levels, daily, weekly or monthly). New in Trend: the Fibonacci retracement screener (pullbacks to 38.2–61.8%).
- New in Patterns: the Darvas box screener and the channel pattern screener (ascending and descending channels). These seven cover crypto, crypto perps, US stocks and CME futures and open the chart on FreeCharting with the levels drawn.
- New in Crypto: the crypto open interest screener (open-interest changes from 1 hour to 7 days, Gate.io perpetuals) and crypto liquidations (long and short liquidations over 24 hours, OKX perpetuals).
· Setup explainers on every screener page
- Every screener page now has a short “About this setup” section: what the setup is, how traders typically use it, and its caveats.
· Triple bottom and rectangle pattern screeners
- New in Patterns: the triple bottom screener (triple bottoms and tops with their neckline) and the rectangle pattern screener (flat trading ranges and fresh breakouts), both drawn on the FreeCharting chart.
· Keltner, Donchian, Parabolic SAR and Hull MA screeners
- New in Technicals: the Keltner channel screener (closes outside the bands, band rides and pullbacks to the middle line). New in Trend: the Donchian channel screener (20- and 55-day breakouts), the Parabolic SAR screener (fresh flips) and the Hull moving average screener (HMA 21 turns and HMA 21/55 alignment). All four cover crypto, crypto perps, US stocks and CME futures and open the chart on FreeCharting with the indicator added.
· Saved setups and shareable scan links
- Every crypto, stock, futures and options screener can now save named setups in your browser (market, preset, filter and sort) and copy a link that reopens the same scan.
· Wedge pattern screener
- New in Patterns: the wedge pattern screener finds rising and falling wedges on daily candles, with breakouts and breakdowns, and draws both trendlines on the FreeCharting chart.
· RSI divergence, CCI, Williams %R and MFI screeners
- New in Technicals: the RSI divergence screener (regular and hidden divergences, with the two swings drawn on the FreeCharting chart) and the CCI, Williams %R & MFI screener (oversold, overbought and fresh crosses back), for crypto, crypto perps, US stocks and CME futures.
· EMA crossover and Heikin Ashi screeners
- New in Trend: the EMA crossover screener (9/21 and 20/50 EMA crosses, 21 EMA reclaims and 8–55 EMA ribbons) and the Heikin Ashi screener (colour flips, strong candles with no opposite wick and long streaks), for crypto, crypto perps, US stocks and CME futures.
· CME futures charts
- Futures in the futures screener and every other screener now link to their chart on FreeCharting, which charts CME futures with the same free Massive key (paste it there once; it stays in your browser).
· Charts open with the pattern drawn
- Click a symbol in a pattern screener and its FreeCharting chart opens with the pattern already drawn: head and shoulders, triangles, flags, cups, double bottoms, inside bars and candlestick patterns, at the same bars the screener found.
- Indicator screeners open the chart with the indicator they scan (RSI, MACD, stochastic, ADX, Supertrend, Ichimoku, Bollinger squeeze, moving averages, gaps, volume) and an arrow at the latest cross. The funding-rate table now links each perpetual to its chart with funding and open interest.
- The marks stay apart from your own drawings on FreeCharting and aren’t saved unless you click Keep as my drawings.
· Eight new indicator and trend screeners
- New in Technicals: MACD crossovers, stochastic and stochastic RSI and the 200-day moving average (crosses, tests and mean-reversion setups).
- New Trend menu: Supertrend flips, ADX trend strength, the Ichimoku cloud, relative strength vs SPY, BTC or ES and Mark Minervini’s trend template.
- All eight scan crypto and crypto perps with no key, and US stocks and CME futures with your own free key. The rules for each are listed on its page.
- Gold highlights in tables are easier to read on the light theme.
· Faster pages, clearer names, options and futures screeners
- New: the options screener (every contract by volume, open interest, IV and delta) and the futures screener (CME futures and crypto perps).
- The all-in-one screener is now named for what it covers: stocks, ETFs, crypto, crypto perps and CME futures. Other multi-market pages were renamed the same way.
- Pages load faster and no longer jump around while data loads. Big tables show 100 rows first, with a Show more button.
- Green and red numbers are easier to read on the light theme.
- Fixed: the gap screener’s Gap % column could be labelled Days apart.
- Fixed: on the crypto market-cap screener, 30-day and 1-year changes that CoinPaprika no longer sends show as – instead of 0%.
· Seven chart-pattern screeners
- New Patterns menu: bull and bear flags, cup and handle, double bottoms and tops, triangles, head and shoulders, inside bars, NR7 and flat bases, and candlestick patterns.
- Each page spells out exactly what qualifies, gives every match a quality score and the breakout level, and draws a small chart of the pattern.
- Like the other technical screeners they open on crypto with no key, and also scan crypto perps, US stocks (free Alpaca key) and CME futures (free Massive key).
· Five new options screeners and a tidier menu
- New: unusual options activity, put/call ratio, max pain and open-interest strikes, covered calls and cash-secured puts, and options expiring this week (0DTE).
- They open on crypto options from Deribit (BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, AVAX and more) with no key. US stock and ETF options work with your own free Alpaca key.
- The menu at the top is now grouped into Movers, Technicals, Crypto and Options, with a short description of every screener.
· Clearer loading, auto-refresh off by default
- Every screener now shows a progress bar on top of the results and a spinner with progress on the Refresh button, such as “Scanning 120 of 250…”.
- Until the first results arrive you see a loading message instead of an empty table. During a refresh the current rows stay visible, slightly dimmed.
- Auto-refresh is now off until you turn it on. Pick 30 seconds, 1 minute or 5 minutes next to the results.
· Crypto, crypto perps, stocks and futures on every technical screener
- The technical screeners (gainers and losers, unusual volume, 52-week highs and lows, RSI, moving-average crossovers, gaps, volatility squeezes, Qullamaggie setups and the main screener) now have a Market switch.
- They open on crypto from Binance with no key needed. Crypto perpetual futures from OKX also need no key.
- US stocks and ETFs work with your own free Alpaca key, and CME futures (stock indexes, Treasuries, oil, gold, grains, currencies and more) with your own free Massive key. See the new guide to a free futures key.
- New optional auto-refresh updates the results in place while you watch, and pauses when the tab is hidden or you’ve been away for a while.
· Launch: 14 free screeners
- The site launched with 14 free screeners: 10 for US stocks and ETFs (stock screener, top gainers and losers, unusual volume, 52-week highs and lows, RSI, moving-average crossovers, gaps, ETFs, volatility squeezes and Qullamaggie setups) and 4 for crypto (crypto screener, crypto gainers and losers, market cap and funding rates).
- Everything runs in your browser, with no sign-up.
